Additional Terms of Service for BTYahoo Mail

  1. Accepting these Terms: Welcome to Yahoo. “Yahoo” means Verizon Media UK Limited of MidCity Place, 71 High Holborn, London, WC1V 6DA, United Kingdom. Yahoo is part of Verizon Media, a house of digital brands. If you are accessing the Services logged in via a BTYahoo ID, please see section 7 below. Yahoo provides Yahoo Mail and messaging products, for example Yahoo Messenger (the “Services”), all of which are subject to the terms and conditions of this Additional Terms of Service (“ATOS”). Your use of the Services constitutes acceptance of and is subject to this ATOS. This ATOS may be updated by Yahoo from time to time without notice to you. You can review the most current version of this ATOS at any time here. Your use of the Services also constitutes acceptance of, and is subject to, the Verizon Media Terms of Service (“TOS”) which is incorporated into this ATOS. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, any new features that augment or enhance the current Services shall be subject to this ATOS, which you agree to by continued use of the Services. The BT Yahoo ATOS are bespoke to these Services provided to BT Yahoo logged-in customers and other users of Yahoo Mail and Messenger services may have a different experience.
  2. Description of The Services
    • The Services: The Services allow you to use different methods of communicating including sending emails and instant messages and, depending which version you are using, making voice and video calls and sending and receiving files, photos, videos and other information. 
    • Third Party Access, Equipment and Services: You are responsible for obtaining access to the Services, for all equipment required to gain such access and paying all applicable charges such as Internet service provider or wireless airtime charges. Any third party equipment or services you use in conjunction with the Services are the responsibility, and subject to the terms, of the third party provider. 
    • Interoperability with Other Network: If authorised by Yahoo, Yahoo Messenger may allow you to communicate with users of other instant messaging services. In that event, you acknowledge that users of other instant messaging services are subject to the terms governing such other instant messaging products. Yahoo is not responsible for the conduct of people you communicate with and has no control over users of different instant messenger or email services.
  3. Privacy Policy: Your access to and use of the Services constitutes acceptance of and is subject to the Verizon Media Privacy Policy.   4. BTYahoo Users: If you are accessing the Services logged in via a BTYahoo ID, then the terms of this ATOS apply to you with respect to the Services but BT Plc remains responsible for providing all services within the BTYahoo Service and handling your personal data.   5. Governing Law and Jurisdiction: The relationship between you and Yahoo, this ATOS, and any related non contractual obligations, shall be governed by the laws of England. You and Yahoo agree that any dispute arising out of the relationship, this ATOS or related non contractual obligations will be governed by the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
  6. Conflict: To the extent there is any inconsistency between the Terms and conditions for the BT Mail service, the ATOS and the TOS, the Terms and conditions for the BT Mail service will override the ATOS and the ATOS will override the TOS.
  7. Entire Agreement: This ATOS, including all incorporated related terms and guidelines referred to above, make up the entire agreement between you and Yahoo and govern your use of the Services, overriding any previous agreements between you and Yahoo relating to the Services. You also may be subject to additional terms and conditions that may apply when you use affiliate services, third-party content or third-party software.
