By Allison Allen, Global Head of Diversity, Inclusion & Talent Development at Oath
At Oath, we've spent this past month--Hispanic Heritage Month--celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans at Oath and across the nation. Hispanics currently make up 17.6% of the nation's total population, however we know there's still an enormous opportunity to increase diversity in the tech industry. It's important to Oath that we to continue to diversify our team, and we remain committed to offering a pathway to success to all people equally.
Together with Latinos in Tech (LIT), an Oath Employee Resource Group, we're focused on fostering an inclusive work environment that supports our company's recruiting initiatives to increase diversity. Diversity and inclusion aren't just nice to have; building a diverse and inclusive team is a business necessity for any organization that wants to succeed. Our goal is to empower professionals of all levels and backgrounds, and we know that the more diverse our team is, the stronger we are as a company.
This month, we honored the important presence of Hispanic and Latino Americans and will continue to strive to be a part of a tech industry that better represents our nation and communities.
